Artist Results is a music business platform for independent artists. It brings press kits, a media library, email marketing, social media scheduling, fan contacts, and merch into one place, so artists can stop paying for and juggling a long list of separate tools.
The platform comes from the same founders behind AnthemCRM, a custom CRM mile.dev has built and maintained since 2021. They are musicians themselves and use Artist Results for their own music. In May 2025 they asked mile.dev to design and build it from the ground up.

This meant:

Artist Results runs as a Next.js web app on top of a Django REST API, with Celery workers handling scheduled social posts, email sends, and audience stats in the background. Media lives in Amazon S3, data in PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS, and every release goes through separate development and production pipelines.
Senior engineers owned the architecture, security, and code quality throughout. When our team moved to AI-assisted development, this project moved with it. Before handing over, we prepared the codebase for the founders' own AI-assisted work: documented project and deployment rules, protected CI configuration, and a production guard that takes a database snapshot before any migration is deployed.

Artist Results launched in late 2025 and is live at artistresults.com, with plans for independent artists, managers, and labels.
After launch, the founders took development in house, working with AI coding assistants on the foundation and rules we prepared. Since the handover in mid 2026, their own team has shipped a merch store, merch booth and ticketing, playlists and galleries, song registration, and an AI writing assistant, on the same architecture.
mile.dev stays on a retainer. We check the platform regularly and are on call when something goes wrong, whether that is an outage, a bad deploy, or a database restore.
We do not see AI-assisted development as a threat to our work. We use it every day, and we think clients should be able to use it too. A good handover today means more than documentation: it means a codebase, rules, and guardrails that let a small team and its AI tools keep shipping safely.
