Products

mile.dev products are software we design, build, and run ourselves, with the same engineering we bring to client work.

Built by the mile.dev team with AI-assisted development, with senior engineers owning architecture, security, and long-term quality. We use every one of them ourselves first.

Free time tracking for teams, with no per-user price. Designed, built, and run by mile.dev.

Why we build mile.dev products

mile.dev products start the same way as our client work: a real problem, a clear scope, and senior engineers who own the result. The difference is that we are the first customer. Every product here is something our own team relies on every day, so the bar for stability, security, and usability is set by people who notice every rough edge. If something is slow, confusing, or unreliable, we feel it before anyone else does.

How we decide what to build

We only build a product when three things are true: our own team needs it, existing tools either cost too much as teams grow or do not fit how people really work, and we can make it noticeably better, not just cheaper. That keeps the list short on purpose. A product is a long-term commitment to hosting, security updates, support, and steady improvement, so we would rather run a few products properly than many products badly.

Built with AI-assisted development

We build products the way we build client software. AI tools speed up analysis, coding, testing, and documentation, while experienced engineers review and own every change. That combination lets a small team ship a complete, production-ready product, without the shortcuts that make AI-built software fragile. It also means every product has tests, documentation, monitoring, and a clear architecture from the first release, so it can grow without being rewritten.

Free where it matters

Our first product, TempusLog, is a free time tracker for teams. Everything a team needs to track time is free forever, and heavier company features will come later as optional paid additions. We would rather earn trust with a genuinely useful tool than lock basic features behind a paywall.

Your data, handled properly

Products we run follow the same rules we apply to client systems. Data is hosted in the EU, access is scoped so people only see what they are allowed to, every important change is logged, and backups run every day. We do not run ads, sell data, or train AI models on what our users store. When you leave, your data leaves with you: exports are available at any time, in formats other tools can read.

Proof of how we work

Products are also the clearest way to show what we do. Each one is a live system you can try, and its architecture, reliability, and attention to detail are the same we bring to the custom software we build for clients. If you need a product like this for your own business, our team can help you plan, build, and run it. We can start from a clear problem and a rough idea, shape the scope with you, and stay on as the team that maintains and improves it after launch.

What comes next

TempusLog is the first of several mile.dev products. Each new product will replace a tool that teams pay too much for, or one that does not fit how they actually work, and each will follow the same rules: built properly, maintained for the long term, and useful from the first day. If there is a tool your team keeps fighting with, tell us. It may be the next one we build, or a custom tool we build just for you.
